March Meeting
Challenge – Traditional Made Modern
In honor of Quilt Con this month, our Challenge for February is to take a 12 inch Sawtooth Star and make it modern. Use the components of a Traditional Sawtooth Star to make a modern version. You can change them around, change the color formation or delete parts altogether.
- Must be based off the traditional Sawtooth Star
- Use solid colors
- And your block must be 12 finished
You may make a block or a whole quilt. That’s up to you.
Have fun! If you have any questions please contact Anna Koelewyn at artistwithin@sbcglobal.net or text 559-410-2053.
March Fat Quarter Swap – Polka Dots
Bring a fat quarter and receive a chance to win all of the fat quarters. For every fat quarter you bring, you will receive one chance to win.
A fat quarter of fabric is a one-fourth yard cut that usually measures 18″ x 22″. To create a fat quarter, cut a half-yard of fabric first (18″ along the fabric’s lengthwise grain) and then cut that piece in half at its midpoint.
