October Challenge – Water

The drought here in Southern California has been ever present in our attitudes about water and our lack of it.  Our challenge for the October meeting is to make a piece inspired by water.  The piece should reflect the modern aesthetic and may be any size you wish.  It could be a block, a tote bag, a table runner or maybe your are courageous and have time and the creativity to make an entire quilt.  It’s up to you.

If you have any questions, please let us know.  Our challenge is due at the October 26th meeting.  Don’t forget to bring any other show and tell items you would like to share.  Stay dry!

The earth is a closed system, similar to a terrarium, meaning that it rarely loses or gains extra matter.  The same water that existed on the earth millions of years ago is still present today.
